Eastsiders have engaged in several efforts to connect with workers at Northern Iron. If you know someone who works at Northern Iron or has worked there in the past, please ask them to contact us. If they currently work at Northern Iron, they should first report any issues to OSHA and consult with an attorney to ensure whistleblower protection. 

On February 25, 2025, there was a surprise OSHA inspection at Northern Iron that found suspected health-related violations. According to OSHA's website, Northern Iron has been cited for "serious" violations involving occupational exposure to lead.
